Chemistry: figuring out an unknown between two compounds?

In chemistry we are doing a forensics project. We have the potential compounds down to naphthalene (C10H8) and barium sulfate (BaSO4). What is a way I could figure out which one the unknown is? They are both soluble in water and I cant think of any other ways to eliminate one or the other
