Do muslims think non muslims are unclean or something?

i was on public transport yesterday when a very muslim looking family got on ,him with a long beard her with the full burka they had little girl about 3yrs old, the little was trying to steady herself by putting her hand on my knee the father sharply pull her hand away causing the the girl to fall...what was that all about
