A long time I heard that the chances were 1 out of 100, 1%. Well if you've been having with hundreds of prostitutes, then the chances of catching it are good. I've read different things: in the book Brothel, the author writes how there are no reported cases of HIV/AIDS being transmitted through a condom during with one of the legal prostitutes there, but then I've read that the incidence of HIV/AIDS in Asian prostitutes is as high as two-thirds. I was at wal-mart yesterday and was noticing the different types of footwear the children were wearing. I usually don't notice this stuff, but yesterday I did. Amway some of them were wearing sandals, some flip flops, crocs were common and some were wearing tennis shoes and socks. I noticed the kids wearing tennis shoes had the most natural walk while the other footwear mainly flip flops seemed somewhat restrictive. Can you use an iron on decal on a crochet blanket?

I'm crocheting my first baby blanket and I'd like to put an iron-on winnie the pooh on it for my baby's nursery. Can I do that? Will it ruin my blanket? Stolen Ipod, What should I do?

I live in NYC and my very best friend was pushed against a gate and robbed of his 160 GB ipod (this ipod came out years ago and is discontinued). This happened mind you in broad daylight in front of pedestrians who stood there and did nothing, as well as the boys in blue who did the most wonderful job of just standing there and watching him cry. I can't help but feel helpless because he loved his ipod and he has done so much for me. Now I have to do this for him. Can anyone give me any advice on what he or I should do? He wanted to go on apple and register it as stolen (he registered his ipod when he first got it) but he's afraid it may not work since he cant remember the serial number. 2004 Chevy Impala LS- Runs rough, added gumout to gas and Even worse now.?

I had to replace my injectors when my car had 36,800 miles. My car now has 66,000 miles. My car started to run a little rough. And had almost the same symptoms as original. I decided to put a can of Gumout fuel additive. I was on the highway when I noticed my car gettin feeling gutless. I decided to accelerate a little more, in hopes of pushing the additive through the injectors to clean them out. The car started sputter even more and I was unable to accelerate. I took my foot off the gas and slowly began to apply pressure to the gas pedal. It would accelerate and pick up speed. When I came to a stop the vehicle was running very rough. My RPMs were going from 1000 to 500. I ran the code finder and discovered a P0300- a random misfiring. We just gave this car a whole tuneup. I decided to add a whole complete set of new fuel injectors, and a fuel pump. Now the exhaust does have a funny smell, but I'm having a hard time believing it would be this. I am a nurse not a mechanic. We ran the vehicle and it's still rough. When you begin to accelerate its as if it's hesitated. But eventually it will go. Any ideas or suggestions. The car itself shifts great, oils been changed routinely. I've cleared the codes, but they return. I've checked the spark plugs, and they look good. Please help!

I am trying to start an online business but I am having difficulties with finding items to resale. Will I have the same allergic reaction if I get a piercing in another part of my ear?

I got my ear lobes pierced over 10 years ago; I usually wore 10-14k yellow gold posts in them... I don't remember what I got them pierced with, though. A few years down the road I began noticing that I had severe allergic reactions to any metal other than the gold (the holes became very inflamed, oozed pus, bled, and eventually scabbed over); I couldn't wear sterling silver--I even tried putting clear nail varnish over the post. Then my problem got progressively worse... I could no longer wear any 14k yellow gold; now I have to wear 18k white gold or platinum. I am not allergic to metal anywhere else on my body. Recently, I was thinking of getting another ear piercing (maybe a second hole or my cartilage) but I was wondering if I would have a similar reaction to the metal. I know I can get hypoallergenic metals--but I also don't want to pay a fortune for an ear piercing. :/

17 yo daughter wants to come back home and bring 18 yo bf ...?

My stepdaughter went to live with her mom @ 6 mos ago. My husband and his ex have joint custody, husband is primary. Therefore, ex was not able to enroll her in school in her state. (dad cant enroll her there because he has no proof of residence.) So once daughter left, she had to quit school. She has said all along that she wants to finish, and now she has finally asked to come back home. BUT-- she has also asked if her 18yo bf can come home with her. He seems ok, has a job and is going to start college next semester. She says they have talked about it and he is willing to help with the bills, and daughter has always helped us with the younger kids at home and helped us with the household chores- laundry, dishes, keeping things picked up, etc. I'm torn between both sides of the issue. If she will finish school, then maybe ok. But I'm also afraid of the drama from every angle imaginable that will no doubt come along with the situation. So... any ideas?

Is it okay to expect a 10 year old boy to use a diaper when pulling over the car is inconvenient?

My son has full control over his bowels and bladder, but he has epilepsy, which is mild and frequent despite medication. About once every 2 or 3 days he will have a small seizure, and while it lasts only about 15 seconds, there is usually no forewarning and he loses bowel and bladder control. So he wears a diaper for this (a type of pullup). The other day we were driving on the highway, and already running late. I had to drop him off at home and then get to work and I was already late and he told me he was desperate to use the bathroom to pee and I needed to pull over. I asked why he didn't go before leaving and he said he didn't have to go then. Plus he drank a lot of soda pop. I told him we couldn't stop and that since he had on a diaper, he should use it. He started to pout, but I told him it wouldn't change my mind. He ended up not being able to hold it and he peed in the diaper. Now he's mad at me. Am I being unreasonable to expect him to use the diaper? I figure that since he's got it on, he might as well take advantage of it.

I've had an LFT just to rule out any disturbance in my liver. I've been on different medicines on and off which include :- NEXIUM, PEPCID, CONCOR, LIBRAX, DUPHALAC SYRUP, RIVOTRIL. The medicines I've mentioned have been used on and off. Currently, I take NEXIUM 20 MG, LIBRAX 2 times daily and DUPHALAC ( LACTULOSE ) 2 tablespoons daily for my constipation problem. The choices have really changed haven't they. When I was into them they only had Addy, Samantha, Molly, Kirsten and Felicity. I think I was in Middle School or something when they added the new doll, Josefina. I have Samantha and all her accessories. Molly is awesome but her hair will get messed up if you take it out of the braids. There is a special brush though that you can buy through American Girl. The dolls have very delicate hair and if you plan to brush it or play with it you must buy the brush that they sell. Otherwise you could ruin the hair of your doll. American Girl dolls and their individual accessories are really fun to collect especially when your younger.

Tell me, have I ruined my teeth forever? Am I destined to lose them?

I am 28 years old. Female. I have 20 cavities and most between my teeth. What is so odd is that my teeth look beautiful. They are straight, white, strong. I had bulimia for 11 years that ended 2 years ago with therapy. I went to the dentist in that time every 6 months but never told him about the bulimia. I would vomit at least 15 times a day for 10 years straight. There are a few "pot marks" on my teeth, but nothing you can see unless I tilt my head in the light. I am guessing these cavities have been there for a while, but since they never did a "fmx" x-ray (whatever that is) they just never caught them. Only the 2 that I had filled in my molars are the ones they have mentioned over the years. I knew having bulimia would ruin my teeth, but since they are so pretty I just umed there was no damage. I want to keep my teeth obviously so my question is this: If you have 20 fillings, will that much work destine my teeth to eventually fall out or need veneers? When I get the fillings will that fix the small cavities I have and will I be able to have healthy teeth from now on since my bulimia is ended, or am I destined to have veneers or dentures. I have just never heard of anyone having 20 cavities and keeping their teeth : (

Can Metabank(Sbbt) hold my refund?

I went through Taxbrain & opted to have my fees deducted from my tax refund. My refund proceeds were sent to Sbbt on 3/19/2010. I logged onto their website and it stated that my refund was received and sent to my bank account. They stated that I should allow 1-2 business days for my deposit to post. Hi, Im Gracie and I have a twin sister (idenical) named Melissa or Lissa for short and I have an older brother name Matt, he's 15 and he's a jerk (he helped me make my Yahoo! account today though). Me and Lissa are 12 but we'll be 13 in Oct. My mom left us a few months after we were born and Matt was 3 I think. My dad says that mom was real depressed, i forgot wat he called it. he said that lots of moms get depressed when they have babies especially if there're young. he said mom was 22 when she had me and Lissa and he was 25. I try to ask him more about her but he gets upset so I stopped. Me and Lissa were born 8 weeks early so we had to stay at the hospital longer than most babies, mom left a couple of months after we got out. Does being depressed make moms leave? wat makes moms depressed? do they stay depressed for a long time? can they get better? I think dads mad with mom for leaving,he doesnt really talk about her. Well, we first need to get out of the North American Union. Then we need to start using and building our own resources again. NOT importing everything from everywhere else!! If nothing is done about this, the US, Canada, and Mexico will become one country, thus demolishing the US as we know it anyway. We will no longer have to worry about elections, not that we really do anymore anyway. If you look at the elections system, it is currently only a two party system now. The BIG two. Independents really have no standing in an election, they don't get as much publicity or as much standing as the Republicans or Democrats. Thus, it is basically a two party election. In some European countries ALL candidates are written in on the ballots and voted for. Yes, the USA our forefathers fought for, is no longer here. If it was, we wouldn't have 30% voter turnout in elections.

How to explain to more normative friends....?

I don't like marriage as an institution. Never have. I announced when I was five that I was never getting married and I still feel that way. Marriage in the west has been traditionally an unequal relationship where one person is treated as lesser (and in some cases property). Until the late 70's it was legal is some parts of this country for a woman to be d by her husband. It gives certain types of families legal rights over others (ie two person romantic couples (hetero now, but even in a world with gay marriage, still and issue). So, while I think that any form of legalized discrimination is bullshit and that gay marriage bans are unconstitutional (see Loving v Virgina and Lawrence v Texas), I don't want to work on marriage initiatives because I hate marriage in general. How do I get other queer people (LGBT) to understand that my refusal to do activism for marriage or DADT is because I have deep issues with the institution of marriage and with militarism (I'm also a pacifist) and not because I have some kind of internalized self hate?

Satans angels infested the cells with defiances. Man then came to be. The origanl spirit of God and the infestation of Satan through the reproduction of humans. With each reproduction the original cell God created became, although the strongest , the minority in the human body. To the point that we are now, unable to spirtially create and alter . Jesus on the other hand was the obisite his spirtual being was the majority of the cells within him because he could breath life into a dead man. No else has ever been able to do that. Besides God himself who created the breath. If we were all to ask God to join us together by that small cell of His within us wouldn't our spitual being be the stongest. Please help with my 11 year old daughter?

Today was the second time I got a phone call from her school to say she hadnt turned up. My heart sank. I rang the school bus driver to confirm she got on the bus and got off at the school. She gets on in the morning with about 7 other children. They all get on a few doors up from me. From now on I will be walking with her to the bus stop to make sure she's on. She did this last year when she went to the town park with another girl who was 12 at the time and bad news. They went to the park and then to visit the girls sister in hospital and then to the girls aunts house. A few older teens who were in the park at the time between exams rang the school and reported the girls in uniform. Otherwise I may never have known where she was. We had a meeting in the school with the principal and the other childs parents. She was lucky not to get suspended and banned from seeing the other girl. I grounded her and came down really hard on her. Since then she has been brilliant. I even had a chat with her teacher last week who sang her praises and told me how clever bright and well mannered she is. I bought her a surprise as a reward. Im doing everything right as far as I can see but now this :(... I am going in to her school this afternoon to speak with her principal. Im so upset/disappointed. Im a single mum but her dad is actively involved in her life and has been since she was born. They have a close relationship. Im at my wits end. Has this ever happened to anyone elses child??? Sore throat when swallowing, clogged left ear, swollen lymph nodes?

About a week ago during the middle of the day I began to feel as if I was starting to get a sore throat. The next morning I woke up with a much more sore throat, swollen glands and a mive headache. I went to the health center on my campus, but the doctor didnt do much. The next day I got rid of my headache completely but my throat still hurt alot when I swallowed. That night, I woke up around 4 and the pain of swallowing was unbearable. I went to the doctor again that day to get a note excusing me of missing my cles. I didn't seek a drs. help though. I went home that night and my throat began to feel better that day, until the night hit. and then again the next day it began to feel much better. I went back to school, happy that there wasnt much pain. Yesterday I canceled my drs. appt. thinking I felt much better, my glands aren't really swollen, and my sore throat was barely noticeable. Around 8 last night my throat began to hurt alot on the left side, and my ear became clogged. when i woke up this morning my throat still hurts alot and now my ear begins to feel painful. i don't know what this is, and i can't even see a doctor right now since i am at school, and it's closed on the weekend. I've tried gargling with salt water, and drinking hot tea. I've taken ibuprofen all week, which helps the pain somewhat but it keeps coming back. i also got a strept throat test and it was negative, im not sure what else it could be.

My Family + Thanksgiving = Horror Story for Me?

So, tomorrow is Thanksgiving, a day where you are supposed to meditate on all your blessings and how good life is, in general. All of my family is gathering at my house tomorrow, it being the most commodious out of all our homes. The only problem is, I really do not get along with some of my family members, namely my grandmother. I pride myself on being a tolerant person but my grandmother has an animosity towards me that I find disheartening. My mother and I lived with her in her apartment for a number of years, and those years were the worst of my life. She physically beat me and burnt me, belittled my every move, even though I showed only the utmost respect for her. She still constantly harps about everything I do, and she is a tiresome and embittered old woman. I try to be fair, but I am afraid that I will lose my patience. I really do not want to attend Thanksgiving dinner with her present, it's going to be very miserable. What should I do?

HELP!! Roof leaking!?

I have a metal corrogated roof on my cabin and everytime it rains it leakes where it is joined together. I have tried some of that tar roof repair,a sealing tape with some kind of tarry stuff on the back and they seem to work for a little while until the house settles and I get leakage again. Anyone know of any silicone or other flexible type sealer that I can try to fix this problem??? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!

Stumpjumper Comp or Trek 8000?

I would personally buy a giant anthem x2 or x3. I have been in the bike industry for almost 6 years now and I can tell you that trek and specialized are both overpriced because of their brand name. If you so some research you will find that giant it the largest bike company in the world and they actually make most of trek's and specialized's frames. Unless you are buying the very top end trek or specialized, which are like 3 times the cost of the bikes you are looking at, they are all made in the same few factories in taiwan, china, etc. trek and specialized are nice bikes but for the price you are looking at I would go with a less popular brand name. you will get better components dollar for dollar. If I had to choose between those two bikes I would go with the specialized stumpy because it has a more serviceable suspension system.

Why isn't the universe uniform and symmetrical in all directions?

I envision The Big Bang as a circular sphere, exploding with beams of energy going out perpendicular to the face of the ball, much like the rays of a stereotypical sun (☼), though they are of course very dense and not only energy (I think). I don't get why things would start clustering though. Wouldn't all the angles between my envisioned "beams" be equal, and their gravity to one another be equal, thus rendering the universe symmetrical and "cancelling" itself?

Hi all! In our US society, unlike 50 years ago, we now accept premarital and cohabitation with a partner but we still don't accept adultery/infidelity. Why is that? I think the first two things I mentioned are much more worse than cheating on someone. Why don't men and women accept that ual promiscuity (a.k.a. cheating) is nature and is not really a choice? Yes, we do have the power to choose whether or not to have with multiple partners but the instinct in itself is natural by default. If it wasn't, people would'nt still be sleeping around after billions of years of human evolution. That's all I'm saying. What do you think? Any answers would be appreciated! Thanks!

I've been doing some reading up on these places, and on some websites, women who are white (and especially blondes) have said they have been harred and/or groped by locals! Yes, I personally knew Gerald L. Fraize (Wildlife Artist) I have several of his prints. His last residence was in Indiana. I have not spoken with him since 1995. Somewhere, I read that he is deceased. Most of his prints sold from $200 to $400 when he was still creating. He was a very nice man. Please let me know if anyone else is a collector of his prints?

I have been looking for a job for the past 5 months and finally a company called and ask that I start in a week. I think one of my students is STALKING me?

I have one student I will admit I am more attached to her because I have known her the longest- and now I am starting to think our relationship is unhealthy. I never tell my students about my personal life (i teach karate and it is not important) but whereever I would go 5 minutes later the girl would show up. Like I work for sprint when I went to work I saw her and started communication seing if she had a relative or a friend who works there- no. (maybe kids are different today but I didn't hang around at random buisnesses) Then I go to the bar after work and she shows up there w/out a parent- I am sorry but there is NO reason for a 14 year old girl to walk into a bar- period! I took her home and I didn't see her for the rest of the night. She is not dangerous or anything- but it is rather creepy and very inapropriate, I am 56. ok, me and my ex was together for about a year and a half b4 we broke up, the reason why we broke up is because i chose my family over her...well acctually my mom had threatened to kick me out the house at 15 with no where to go, so i broke up with her, but since then we just been talking. thats all, and actually we didnt talk for about 5 months after we broke up, and then we started back just and only talking, even now we're not together, but my mom never knew.
