Why has our stupid society reverted to using hieroglyphics instead of our English language?

Example: Highway signs using picture writing , symbols and designs on our car dasboards, instrument panels. We have come around full cycle from cavemen to literate modern man, and now we are regressing to, or returning to our former caveman status, thanks to our public, dumbell school system.
